One of the most frequently sought-after methods of customizing your kitchen cabinetry is to choose a plywood construction upgrade. This is a relatively inexpensive method of achieving a look that says, “These are not your run-of-the-mill cabinets”. Plywood is widely considered to be a stronger, more durable product than the composite wood materials used in most standard cabinets today.
With Marsh cabinets the plywood construction upgrade is available on all of the “framed” styles except the Aurora and the Fairmont. The styles that do offer the plywood upgrade are Belwood, Belwood Arch, Madison, Hillcrest, Brunswick, Parkwood, Parkwood Arch, Florence, Florence Arch, Woodland, Woodland Arch, Summerfield 1 Maple, Summerfield 2 Maple, Summerfield 1 Cherry, Summerfield 2 Cherry, Arcadia Maple, Arcadia Cherry, North Brook Maple, & North Brook Cherry.
It is important to remember that when you upgrade to a plywood cabinet the sides are no longer automatically finished. You will need to specify if there are any exposed cabinet ends in order to have those sides finished. A Finished Overlay End (OE), which is 3/16” plywood, will be applied.
